Her attendants are Ella Jennings age 11 and goes to Calthorpe secondary school and Olivia Cure age 8 from Velmead Junior school. Ella’s hobbies are Dancing and Jazz and Olivia is a keen tennis player. The 3 girls were crowned and presented with flowers by last years royalty, Georgina Pearson, Francesca Ward and Brook Tiller. School Fifth Year Winner: Jason Brown. Velmead School. Runner Up: Sarah-Jane Colver. Velmead School. Sixth Year Winner: Maria Rhodes. Velmead School. Runner Up: Douglas Hartley. All Saints School.
There were nearly 150 entries from four schools. The carnival would like to thank all those children from Velmead Junior, All Saints Junior, Church Crookham Junior and Crondall Primary schools who took part in the competition. Also all teachers and others who encouraged the children to participate in the competition. The standard was very high and the judges had great difficulty in deciding the winners. Please note: As so many entries included text it was decided to accept these entries to avoid disappointing so many children who had spent so much time on there pictures. |
